Women Leadership Development Program for the senior leadership team across the globe for CRISIL Limited

Leadership is a gender-agnostic term and yet there is a need for programs that specifically aims at developing women leaders. It is not about distinguished competencies for women. The challenges experienced by women in leadership roles are quite complex due to social conditioning, expected gender roles and behavior, cultural context, the impact of life stage, relationship nuances, etc. which rarely gets addressed in gender-neutral leadership development programs.

It was such a pleasure to conduct Women Leadership Development Program (WLDP) for the senior leadership team across the globe for CRISIL Limited. The program was spread over two modules of four hours each. Immense gratitude to the participants for their enthusiasm and depth of conversation which made it an immensely rich and joyful learning experience.

Panel discussion on Women's Equality Day by ET Now Swadesh

Womens Equality Day is not just about providing  equal opportunities for work, but also about developing open and accepting mindset at a social level. Organizations are a sub-unit of the society and for any organization to drive gender inclusion and provide equal opportunities to women, we need to change the mindset of the society at large and building a culture of progressive India. In a recent panel discussion on Women’s Equality Day by ET Now Swadesh, our Founder and Managing Partner Sonica Aron spoke about how women equality is not just the responsibility of the organization but also of each one of us. We are all victims of social conditioning and while we are overcoming it, it is a long way to go. Do watch the video and share your thoughts!

21 Marching campaign

Have you heard the terms working women and working mothers but have you heard the terms ‘working men’ and ‘Working #fathers’? Even though DEI as a topic has been around for years now, the gender norms still persist creating invisible barriers and obstacles. In her recent talk at TEDx, Sonica Aron (She/Her/Hers) Aron – Founder and Managing Partner, Marching Sheep spoke about the journey of her life and how she broke gender stereotypes to define her all. In her words, “Women can have it all and we certainly deserve to have it all. We simply need to define our all”. As women, we often let guilt take over our desires and passion in life. This talk is about how we drive following our passion at work and see ourselves grow in the journey. At Marching Sheep, we all are encouraged to find our calling and define our “All” and chase our dreams. A truly inspirational talk about following your dreams without guilt, women can have it all! Do watch, like and share your thoughts!

Panel Discussion on 'The International Day for Persons with Disability'

Disability is a particular way of being, moving, thinking, hearing, seeing, emoting, processing, expressing or even living. The particular way that a person experiences disability defines their life in the sense that it’s the platform upon which they filter and see their world; but it does not define them by way of saying that they can’t be or do whatever they want. Just because someone has different limits than others, does not mean that they are unable to perform a job or contribute meaningfully or lead a full life.
On the occasion of ‘The International Day for Persons with Disability’, we at Marching Sheep held a Panel Discussion with leaders from different industries and advocates of Disability Inclusion, who shared their experiences and valuable perspectives on how we can make a tangible difference in our #workplaces, our thinking and our mindset to help persons with disability live a life without discrimination.

Panel Discussion- Broadening narrative of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion in virtual and hybrid working models

We all know how the landscape of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion has changed over the last few years. It has now extended beyond gender and includes other important facets such as age, ethnicity, sexual orientation, mindsets, people with disabilities to name a few.

But we see the narrative of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion changing even further in the new hybrid ways of working. In the hybrid workplace different categories have emerged among employees: like those who are in the office and those who are remote. So what are organizations doing to create an even playing field for all in this environment?

With the same thought, Marching Sheep brings to you its next Panel Discussion on “The Broadening Narrative of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in Virtual and Hybrid Working Models”. We have an illustrious panel comprising of industry leaders Amit Chincholikar from Tata Consumer ProductsManish Sinha from Mahindra and Mahindra Limited [Automotive and Farm Equipment Business]Manvi Sushil (She/Her/Hers) from Avery DennisonSheetal Sandhu from ICRA and Raman Kumar Singh from ABB, who will share their insightsexperiences and views on integrating different aspects of diversity, equity and inclusion in today’s times. Session with Legrand

Why do women hesitate to speak up? Despite facing challenges and hurdles while navigating personal and professional life stages, women are less vocal. Some are fearful of hurting others’ feelings and others are fearful of being seen as either too emotional or too bossy.

In our recent session with women professionals Legrand we addressed their concerns on Speak up, and how to overcome the self-imposed barriers. It is about time that women start voicing their concerns and choose to challenge the stereotypes attached to voicing their opinions.

Thank you Gauri Desai and Meenal Chaukar for partnering with us for this meaningful journey.

Session with HR Association of India

It is always a pleasure to partner with HR ASSOCIATION OF INDIA for sessions and this time it was on building Emotional resilience. While the pandemic has brought the need for building a resilient workforce to the fore, it is also a fact that one size does not fit all. Every individual is unique, Stress triggers are different, emotional responses vary, and therefore coping mechanisms will be different. We need to move away from a prescriptive approach to an enabling approach where every individual begins to understand their own stress manifestations and methods to deal with them.

Our Founder Sonica Aron spoke about how every individual can take charge of their emotions and feelings, and become more resilient, in a sustainable manner.

We were all moved by the warmth shown by the participants, and the enthusiasm in their war cries, and they embark on their path ahead. The best part was, they made us a part of their future endeavours and commitment by inviting us into the whatsapp groups they have made for implementation of whatever they have learnt, and we willingly offered to mentor and guide. It gives us a huge sense of satisfaction and pride, when our clients and participants make us a part of them.

Session with FireFly Networks

Emotional resilience has become important in today’s time and an integral part of employee wellbeing.
Over the period of pandemic we’ve seen people suffer from anxiety and burnout due to the remote workingwork stress, and uncertainty in the new normal which is impacting their mental health adversely.
In our recent session with FireFly Networks Limited we discussed about approaching emotional resilience mindfully and understanding our cognitive errors. In our recent talk on the Prevention of Sexual Harassment for Women at Workplace (#POSH) Act for the members of RATA INDIA, we discussed about the details of the ACT, definition under the act and what we can do to make our workplaces compliant and #inclusive in letter and spirit. Thank you Amit Goel

Continuing our enriching journey on Inclusion with Avery Dennison, we did our fourth session which was as engaging and insightful as the earlier sessions on unleashing the power of inclusion at the workplace. Thanks to all the participants for their significant participation and curiosity shown in understanding key nuances of diversity and inclusion, acknowledging common biases at the workplace. There were some great shares and takeaways for everyone to implement and move towards inclusion.
Thanks Manvi Sushil (She/Her/Hers) Ravi Sharma and Swati Jain for organizing this.

Session with Nykaa

Today’s times require intentional and mindful Emotional resilience, and with simple techniques and practice we can make all learn this life skill. Recognising our own stress triggers and how they manifest for us, knowing what our coping mechanisms are make us more #resilient and #strong. How do we navigate the axis of emotions and understanding our cognitive errors patterns makes us more mindful of our thoughts which in turn makes us able to channelise our emotions constructively. In our third interaction with employees of Nykaa, we spoke about what it takes to be in the boat to sail through #turbulent times with #resilience and #mindfulness. Session with Abbott

When confronted with challenges in life and while going through turbulent times, allies are the people who help us in overcoming the hurdles. Allies are always there to support and help others in their times of need. They not only support but also speak up and take action against discrimination or inappropriate behavior. And when you have allies at workplace, it builds a culture of inclusivity and enables employees to perform and grow. Our session with the team of Abbott India was all about Allies in the Workplace and how we overcome barriers at different lifestages with their support and help.
