When I look at the workforce in India today, I see two very different pictures. On the one hand, we celebrate the fact that almost 46% of entry-level roles are filled by women. On the other hand, as we climb the corporate ladder, the numbers thin out drastically. By the time we reach the C-suite, only 19% of leaders are women. This is what I often call the “hourglass effect”, wide at the bottom, narrow at the top.
